Friday nights I’ve covered for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel this season. Everything I’ve published is on my Journal Sentinel byline.

  1. WIAA Division 3 playoffs, Level 1

    Catholic Memorial vs. Greendale

Fifth-seeded Catholic Memorial went on the road and pulled away from fourth-seeded Greendale after halftime. Senior Camden Shumpert, back from an injury that sidelined him since Week 5, broke a 50-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, and the Crusaders’ defense kept Greendale off the board in the second half.

  2. Regular season

    Pewaukee vs. New Berlin Eisenhower

Pewaukee took control early and never let go, rolling past New Berlin Eisenhower to stay perfect at 8-0 and hand the Lions a second straight loss.

  3. North Shore Conference

    Wisconsin Lutheran vs. Homestead

Unbeaten Homestead led 29-22 late before Deacon Vierck’s 1-yard run tied it with 1:50 left. Vierck scored again on the first possession of overtime, and when Homestead answered and went for two to win, the pass fell incomplete.

  4. Greater Metro Conference

    Marquette vs. Brookfield East

Brookfield East tied it behind Lucas Yttre, then Marquette took over at Hart Park. Bear Bonk ran for 273 yards on 42 carries, including a 70-yard touchdown, and Ben Schroeder threw for 301 yards and three scores.

  5. Rivalry game

    Wauwatosa West vs. Wauwatosa East

West jumped out 14-0, then watched East score 21 straight. With 50 seconds left, Hawkin Ullsperger’s touchdown made it 21-20, and instead of kicking for overtime the Trojans went for two. Kaden Miller got in for their first win of the season.

  6. Nonconference

    Arrowhead vs. Brookfield East

Brookfield East led 14-9 at halftime in Hartland. Then Arrowhead outscored the Spartans 36-7 after the break to move to 4-0, in a rematch of last season’s 31-29 playoff thriller.
